Found: Veenenburg, Netherlands
Age: middle bronze age Bronze rings occur frequently in the bronze age. In the Netherlands, an example is from the Veenenburg hoard. This hoard includes a bracelet with 13 bronze rings. I don't know yet if I'll produce the entire bracelet. For now it was just to see if I'd get a good ring cast. |
Mould

Material: clay & sand, fired
The two halves were dried to leather hard. Then one half of the ring was carved from one mould half. The two halves were pressed together, to get a print on the other half. This was carved out as well. The mould was then further dried and fired. Here the mould can be seen just after casting. |
